1: Jackson leans back in his seat, exhausted and weary.
Jackson: With their behavioral changes… and with what you told me… and…
2: The snake ghost, Tazim-Ta’ash is seen giggling in a monitor off to the side.
Jackson: Anonymous sources…
I knew there was a small risk of innocents being caught in the crossfire.
I had to take that risk.
3: The three of them, seated in the OR, recovering and unwilling to stand or move.
Jackson: But Melissa…
Melissa was never part of that plan…
4: Outside of the still locked door to the portal room, Julia has sat down against the door. Her helmet is off and her head is buried in her folded arms.

Oh…crap.
When times of trouble came, Jackson went all, “Kill them all, and let Valhalla sort them out”, on us.
Oh no.
Poor Julia.
I hope that Rhoda, + Julia’s other friends, can help Julia through this time. Oh man.
I don’t think we can’t count on Rhoda being available, unless Tazim’s finished borrowing her body. Also, I assume Tazim knew that Kenazil might kill her summoner; if Julia realizes that as well, Tazim is going to be in for it.
I still have hope that Julia might be able to pull off a miracle: souls/spirits/ghosts apparently exist, as does the spirit world / astral plane; and Julia was able to reconstitute her (own) body after having been consumed by the Black Idol (see Issue 20, Page 41). See where I’m going with this?
Correction to comment: I don’t think we *can* count on…
Wait!
I missed that!
They’re waiting outside of an “OR”?
That means, an O…perating R…oom, right?
This will be a tough time for the people involved, but there’s a chance that Melissa, + others on the scientists’ team, can still be ALIVE!
Yay! 🙂
Operations Room not as in hospital, but as in control center.
Hold on… Melissa wasn’t part of the plan, yet had it not been for her summoning The Black Dog, the mission probably would have failed. (Technically it was a success (a Pyrrhic one), since the ultimate objective was to neutralize the Black Mass infestation on the Moon.) Hmm….
