1: Morning the next day. Two hands hold a cup of coffee.

2: Eric looks down, tired and lost in thought.

3: Melissa inspects the window pane, we see her from the outside. She wears a skirt and long socks.

4: She activates the opacity setting of the high-tech window, shutting out the glare of the sun.

5: She then turns the window transparent again, giggling and pleased with herself.

6: We see the sparse kitchen of the Khainouda household, the room has an art deco design. Melissa is exploring the appliances, heading to a large fridge, while Eric sits at the kitchen table.

Eric: Did you eat?

Melissa: I tried. I can’t figure out any of these appliances, they’re too complicated!

Eric: All those computers are supposed to make them easier to use…
