1: A lattice of hexagonal cracks of light begins to spread across the black threshold surface.

2: The portal, open now to the lunar temple, shows a gaping tunnel of glistening black flesh and teeth. The walls, once black metal and piping, have been covered with a thin layer of dark skin and slime. The drone’s light fails to penetrate the darkness and the tunnel recedes into shadow.

3: The drone rolls in and the portal rapidly closes behind it, leaving only white cracks of light. Alone now, the drone slowly moves across a blanket of black mass.
