1: A Nagaskin-suited figure sits in the Shankar Amplifier prototype. His hands grip a pair of handles and a wired helmet is attached to his suit’s helmet.
2: A monitor shows radiation waveforms.
3: His eyes are shut and he’s straining, concentrate.
4: From behind him, we see what he’s focusing on. The chamber he is in opens up to a secondary chamber, in which is stored – behind thick layers of protective glass – a small sample of The Black Mass.
5: A zoomed in shot of them sample, seeming unmoved.
Oh yeah, Space Suited Skunk!
Black Idol is thinking, “Why am I hurting myself? WHY am I hurting myself?!”
Wait, the transcript says his eyes are shut, but the comic shows his eyes open.
@Tynach, similarly, the transcript says there’s a wired helmet attached to the helmet. Happens.
Eh, that’s a basic typo. Happens to me when I’m starting to type one thing, but decide to word it differently and forget to remove the text I’d already typed. Or when I go back and edit some text, and forget to edit a part that’s right next to it that no longer makes sense with the edit I made.
But the eye being closed vs. open is a difference I can’t explain like that.
Actually, the next page says that Julia attached the device’s helmet to hers. I think the intent is that there’s a second helmet that goes over the suit’s main helmet.
