The daughters head is seen, starkly illuminated by a stripe of moonlight across her brow. She looks almost feral, eyes reflecting in the darkness. Her snout is covered in dark red blood.
The father stumbles back out of the doorway. Leaned against the wall, he covers his mouth as if to hold back vomit.
The daughters arm is seen to be slowly extracting itself from a red, wet mass of something beneath where she kneels. Bulbous organs and exposed ribs glisten in the dim light.
The mother’s face is seen – eyes open, glassy, and vacant, face splashed with blood.
A ribbon of white moonlight casts upon the wall of the daughters room. We see her crayon drawings, rendered mostly in black and red – messy, abstract, and disturbed.
