FLICKER AND FLASH

Sami (Caption): But um… I mean, like I said, it’s romantic in some ways.

2: Zoranov, a small rabbit wearing a lab coat, is installing a large lightbulb into the desert ground.
Sami: He got everyone, the whole nation, on board, with promises of talking to them: to aliens, to Mars, to our brothers and sisters across space.

3: The bunny scientist, surrounded by assistants and engineers, looms over the controls, propped up on a stool. A mass of wires have been retrofitted into a power plant.

4: An aerial view of Egypt from far away, a collection of bright lights within its giant stone walls.

5: Now, in an instant, Egypt has gone dark.
