The white alien plant-like thing twisting around the spine reminds me of DNA. Like the covers before, I’m sure it’ll make sense by issue’s end.
Considering the last issue, I’m not sure I’m able to hope for the best. 🙁 I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am surprised the story is getting darker– given Julia’s condition in the last issue. With this cover and the title, I’m sticking with my assumption that there’s not much hope for her. At best when (if?) she’s fully gone, I can just hope her death won’t be in vain. Maybe the footage she brought back or the way she was infected can help them understand the Black Idol a little better.
Hope for the best? Nope! I want to see the worst! This is why I’m still here, for the hardcore!
I’d like to see Julia survive…but after much more suffering as she’s tormented by the idol corruption and lost somewhere between a state of dream and nightmare where her sanity desintegrates! XD
