1: Setting the papers down, Rhoda sorts through the nearest pile of books. Some of them look quite old.
2: One such book is titled ‘Runic Magic’ and has several bookmarks in it.
3: The book is opened. The pages look aged and the type face is faded. Runic symbols, prints of woodcarvings, are on the pages with the explanation: “To cause any Spirit to appear whose true name is known.”
4: In a side-by-side we see close-up of one of the blueprints, showing a scribbled symbol in a circular design, and one of the symbols in the book: a complex circular drawing.
