Transcript
Outside the side lawn of Cairo university at night, windows dark and a decoration on the wall.
Below, in the grass, a section of the grass breaks up and lifts.
Melissa pushes open an old trap door to the forgotten basement of the library, tendrils hang from her mouth and ears: two tentacles with eyes hang from her mouth. Melissa cries black tears from closed eyes, moving not under her own power.
The eyes protruding from Melissa’s mouth look around, and small feather-like antennae wave about.
With awkward, slouched gait, Melissa runs off, away from the trap door.
Julia’s head peeks over the edge of the trap door, looking concerned.
